Privacy Policy

Effective July 7, 2026

This is an interim policy. It accurately describes how OpenRela handles information today and is under review by legal counsel; a counsel-approved version will replace it before general availability.

Who we are

OpenRela (built by PennKraft) is an open house experience platform for real estate agents. Agents use OpenRela to run a sign-in kiosk at open houses, embed a sign-in widget on their websites, and share property disclosure documents. When you sign in at an open house powered by OpenRela, we process your information on behalf of the listing agent — the agent (and their broker) remains the primary keeper of the visit record.

What we collect

When you sign in at an open house (kiosk or widget), we collect the contact details you enter — your name, email address, and optionally your phone number and whether you already work with an agent — plus your IP address, browser user-agent, and sign-in timestamp.

If a non-agency disclosure is presented, we record whether you acknowledged or declined it, together with the exact disclosure text and version you were shown, so the listing agent has a reliable record.

For agents with accounts, we collect account details (name, email, brokerage, license number) and the listing and open-house content you create.

How we use it

Visitor information is used to (1) record your visit for the listing agent, (2) log your non-agency disclosure acknowledgement, and (3) send you an optional thank-you email — only if you opted in at sign-in. Every marketing email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who receives it

Your sign-in information goes to the listing agent (and their brokerage) who hosted the open house. It is also processed by our infrastructure providers — Supabase (database), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting) — solely to operate the service.

How long we keep it

Visit records are retained for the listing agent's record-retention period, which for California brokers is generally three years under DRE regulations. Records may be deleted earlier at the listing agent's direction or in response to a verified privacy request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request its deletion, and to request corrections. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@openrela.com from the address you used at sign-in, or include enough detail for us to verify your request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

To stop receiving thank-you or follow-up emails, use the one-click unsubscribe link in any such email — no account or verification needed.
